Berlin is calling this summer! Air Transat launched new twice-weekly service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), running through October.
Recently named the World’s Best Leisure Airline for the seventh time at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, the new service connects Canada to Germany’s capital, and it’s the only non-stop service from Canada to the city.

“This route not only strengthens our European presence out of Toronto but also underscores our commitment to creating meaningful connections across the Atlantic,” said Sebastian Ponce, Air Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer.
Working with Porter Airlines, the new service means that Canadians can fly from Canadian cities–Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Halifax–to connect to Toronto and get to Berlin easier.
The new service also helps feed the demand for Canadians looking to explore Germany more.
“We are pleased to welcome Air Transat’s new non-stop service to Berlin–a city that has long been one of Toronto Pearson’s largest unserved European markets,” said Kurush Minocher, interim Chief Commercial Officer, Toronto Pearson. “Last year, 15,000 people travelled between Toronto and Berlin, all requiring a stopover on their journey. We are excited to offer new routes that enhance passenger choice and strengthen Toronto Pearson’s global connectivity.”
Passengers on this new route will be flying on the Airbus A321LR that features comfortable ergonomic cabins and a modern entertainment system.
