Fall is here and if you’re looking for a wonderful day out, close to Toronto and Hamilton, The Apple Orchard is charming spot for couples and families.
Drop in for the chance to pick apples, find squash and pumpkins, take a stroll through the woods, meet farm animals, and relax on a nice, crisp day.
Throughout the fall they have a number of apple varieties, depending on whether you want a sweet treat, or something for baking, including Pioneer and Imperial Macintosh, Cortland, Aurora Golden Gala, Spartan, Royal Court, Imperial Gala, and Ginger Gold apples.
The farm has over 10,000 apple and pear trees, you can ride the wagon out to the orchard, or take a leisurely stroll, there’s a corn maze, and I love their little snack area with fresh cooked corn, drinks, and even goats milk ice cream to try.
Children under 2 are free, and prices range from $10.84 for kids up to 17, to $11.73 for adults, and $11.29 for seniors, plus HST.
The Apple Orchard is open Mondays, Thursdays, and weekends from 9am to 5pm.
Watch the video above for a look at the farm, the orchard, and some of my favourite things to see and do.
