Until last year, I rarely left the house without my camera. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t imagine doing what I do without my DSLR–interviews, covering events, and all of the rest–but as phones get better, the big camera just isn’t as necessary all the time.
Thanks to the last two generations of Samsung phones, I always have a camera handy that takes fantastic photos. Closeups, people, scenery, and everything in between–my phone does it all.
In fact, a lot of my favorite photos this year were taken on my phone.
Last year I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S5, and then in July Samsung gave me the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge to cover WayHome festival. It’s now hard for me to imagine going without the Galaxy phones. Plus, I also tested and shot with the Note 5, which was easily my favorite device of 2015.
So, without further ado, here are 55 (yes, fifty-five) of my favorite pictures from 2015, all taken with Samsung devices, and sorted from January to December.
It’s also worth mentioning that my best friend in a lot of difficult lighting situations was definitely Samsung’s Pro Mode, which I’ll write about soon, but I’d recommend testing it out if you haven’t already.
