Hands on with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra | Photos & 8K video

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra arrives next Friday, and I’ve honestly been geeking out while I’m testing it for my review next week.

The new phone has a lot going for it, and there’s a lot I can’t wait to talk about in my review, but for now I have to say I’m a big fan of the cameras, and the camera app.

Until I started using the new phone, I didn’t realize how much I missed all that screen real estate too. Most other Android phones really can’t compete, plus I really appreciate the S Pen for writing.

Let’s talk about the incredible photo and video though. I’ve tried the zoom in a lot of conditions, and it’s remarkable overall, and the phones captures gorgeous colours.

Then there’s the Pro Video mode. As someone who creates a lot of YouTube videos, this is my new favourite thing, and it provides control over audio recording, smooth zooming, and so much more. Plus, it shoots in 8K and you can choose a real cinematic 21:9 ratio.

As far as other notes go, I can’t wait to try out Xbox Games Pass Ultimate on the Note when that launches in September. There’s going to be over 100 game titles available, and it will work with Xbox game controllers.

Also, Mystic Bronze is going to wow you when you see it in person.

For now, here’s an 8K video I shot with the Note 20 Ultra, and some photos. Stay tuned for my full review with more photos and video on Tuesday, August 18. Feel free to ask any questions about the new Note in the comments below.
