What better way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Corner Gas than with a full-length movie that premieres on CTV, CTV Two, and CTV Go tonight at 8:00 PM (ET/PT)?

Corner Gas debuted in January 2004, and celebrated six seasons before it closed shop in 2009 after a very successful run. Then, earlier this year, show creator, writer and star Brent Butt helped bring the cast back together with the help of fans on Kickstarter to return to the weird and wonderful town of Dog River for a little more zaniness with Corner Gas: The Movie.

The film catches up with our friends five years after we left them, and unfortunately things are not going very well for the town, or anyone in it. The town is bankrupt, there’s rioting in the streets, and something has to be done or Dog River will cease to exist.

Corner Gas: The Movie stars Brent Butt, along with original stars Gabrielle Miller, Eric Peterson, Fred Ewanuick, Janet Wright, Lorne Cardinal, Tara Spencer-Nairn, and Nancy Robertson. Guest stars in the film include the likes of Graham Greene, Don Lake, Jon Montgomery, Reagan Pasternak, Will Sasso, Darren Dutchyshen, Jay Onrait, and Dan O’Toole. Plus, watch out for fans of the series, who appear in a few scenes as a thank-you for backing the film on Kickstarter.

Brent Butt, Miller, and Spencer-Nairn were in town earlier this week to talk about making Corner Gas: The Movie, how it came together, and what it’s like revisiting the series that become one of Canada’s favorite sitcoms. Watch the whole interview below, and catch the film tonight on CTV.
