CTV’s Cardinal is one of Canada’s best and most intense dramas. Based on the novels by Giles Blunt, the series is a moody, rich, and mesmerizing crime drama following Detective John Cardinal, played perfectly by Billy Campbell, and his investigative partner, Lise Delorme, played by the incredible Karine Vanasse.
Roswell, New Mexico is a busy, complicated little town, and it has some serious problems with aliens. Among all the conflicted, tumultuous storylines though, between aliens and humans, one of the most intense relationships is between Alex Manes, played by Tyler Blackburn, and Michael Guerin (Michael Vlamis).
The 12th season of Heartland returned to CBC tonight, and based on the first episode, the iconic Canadian series has some wonderful new journeys ahead for our favourite characters.
TCL, one of America’s fastest growing television brands, arrived in Canada last week, with the 35-year-old company launching their lineup of high definition displays just in time for the holidays.
AMC’s Better Call Saul returns on August 6 at 9:00 PM (ET/PT), and we’ve got the trailer, and photos from the upcoming fourth season.
Preacher returns for the third season on AMC tonight, and based on what I’ve seen so far, it’s going to be a wild ride. Preacher has always been bold, dramatic, hilarious, and wonderfully weird, and this season takes it even further for some truly awesome confrontations, and consequences. And, of course, there’s the great Pip Torrens returning as Herr Starr once again.
Netflix has reimagined Lost In Space, and the fun, dramatic, and action-packed new series debuts tomorrow. Making its premiere in Toronto with a fan screening last night, star Molly Parker was in town for the big event, and I had a chance to sit down with her to talk about the Robinsons and their journey ahead.
Angela Griffin and Shenae Grimes-Beech are laughing when I sit down to talk with them about CTV’s new series, The Detail. The stars have an easy relationship together after filming the show, and they laughed easily and often as they chatted about the characters, making the show, and how the roles affected them.
CTV’s The Social celebrates its 1000th episode today, in the midst of the show’s 5th season, so I sat down with the four hosts of the talk show to find out about their favorite moments, and how they connect on and off the show.
I first fell in love with podcasts in the days of Lost and Battlestar Galactica. Each of those series embraced the medium and had official podcasts hosted by their executive producers that offered more insight into the series. It was like a commentary track but even better, since you didn’t have to wait for the eventual DVD release. I started podcasting in 2008 about the show True Blood, and started a Vampire Diaries podcast the following year. It was a way for a group of fans–and some of us who straddled the line between fandom and TV blogging–to discuss each episode of the show in depth, or talk about theories and predictions.
