What happens when you cross demons with zombies? Why, zemons, of course, and they’re coming to a screen near you tonight, and tonight only, at a select number of Cineplex theatres across Canada in director April Mullen’s latest, Dead Before Dawn 3D.

In what is quite possibly Canada’s first home grown stereoscopic 3D film, released through Mullen and co-producer Tim Doiron’s production company Wango Films, Dead Before Dawn 3D brings together Devon Bostick, Christopher Lloyd, Martha MacIsaac, Brandon Jay McLaren, Brittany Allen, plus Mullen and Doiron themselves in a fight to save Earth from rampaging zemons. After the group of college kids breaks a cursed urn, it’s their own fault though, and they only have 24 hours to put things right.

Yesterday, I sat down in the bloody Winnebago to chat with Mullen about making the film, the challenges of 3D, her career, and what it’s like to work with Christopher Lloyd.

Synopsis:Dead Before Dawn 3D follows a bunch of college kids who accidentally break an evil urn and end up inadvertently creating a curse that causes everyone they make eye contact with to kill themselves and turn into Zombie Demons, aka ZEMONS!

Now, with only 24 hours to reverse the curse and the fate of the entire world resting on their shoulders, our heroes race through the night in a bloody Winnebago, armed with a slew of homemade weapons, avoiding eye contact, dodging hicky’s and seducing Zemons.

Will our heroes be able to reverse the curse and save the day or will all of humanity be Dead Before Dawn?! Zombieland meets the Goonies in this blood soaked horror comedy that pits college kids against ZEMONS, the newest monster to join the horror creature lexicon.”\
