The MuchMusic Video Awards announced two more presenters today, just three days ahead of the festivities, revealing that Drake and the lovely ladies of Girlicious will be walking the red carpet and presenting awards.

While you have probably heard of pop band Girlicious, who appeared at the 2008 MMVAs, Drake is something of a new star. The up-and-coming rapper is best known as Aubrey Graham, star of Degrassi: The Next Generation, but he’s already working on what MuchMusic referred to as “rap-world domination,” with a little help from Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money.

Other stars set to shine at the corner of Queen and John include Rachelle Lefevre and Taylor Lautner of Twilight: New Moon, Audrina Patridge and Brody Jenner of The Hills (Jenner is expected to be joined by his girlfriend, Canadian Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole), and Kim Kardashian.

And let’s not forget the serious list of performers: the Black Eyed Peas, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Nickelback, and co-hosts the Jonas Brothers.

There is one major change this year that most fans won’t even notice, and that’s the cancellation of the MMVA backstage party, which was largely attended by media and industry representatives. Citing the downturn in the economy, CTV and MuchMusic cancelled the invite-only party, allowing the event to feature two stages in the parking lot, where they formerly could only fit one stage.

It is also worth noting for some fans that Girlicious now has three members, Nichole Cordova, Chrystina Sayers, and Natalie Mejia. Tiffanie Anderson confirmed on YouTube this month that she has departed the group.

The fun hits the air live on Sunday, June 21 at 8:00 pm (ET) with the red carpet special, followed at 9:00 pm with the awards show. Stay tuned to The GATE for lots of pictures and updates from the event, or follow us on Twitter (Twitter.com/TheGATE) for updates live from the MMVAs.
