Yesterday was the first official day of spring in Canada, but it might be hard to tell across most of the country. Some areas still have snow, and ice, and in Toronto the temperature is set to dip back down below zero later this week. So when does spring really arrive? Home Depot Canada has come up with the first days to really enjoy the season, and they’re looking for people across the country to join in #ChasingSpring.
The good news is that British Columbia sees real spring weather by April 3. The bad news is that Ontario and Quebec won’t see spring until around May 1, and the Priaries and Atlantic Canada will likely have to wait until May 29.
Using research and analysis of weather patterns and sales information, Home Depot Canada came up with the list of new dates to help Canadians get ready, and enjoy the warmer days ahead. From yard care to gardening, and BBQ season, it’s actually encouraging to think that, by May 1 here in Toronto, we could be enjoying warmer weather.
If you see some signs of spring in your area, use the #ChasingSpring hashtag to share the good news on Twitter and Instagram.
