J.P. Wiser cocktails for the long weekend

by W. Andrew Powell

Long weekends are made for taking a break, eating good food, and enjoying great drinks, and I’ve got two great cocktails that I had to share feature J.P. Wiser’s Triple Barrel Rye whisky.

J.P. Wiser’s Triple Barrel Rye makes a great rye and cola, or rye and gingerale, but for something a little more interesting, the L’Habitant or Spring Julep cocktails are very tasty.

This Canadian whisky is also really great straight up, or on the rocks for something a little more classic. The aroma is a little sweet and spicy, with hints of barley, and the flavour is wonderfully complex and oaky, with pleasant caramel notes, and dried fruit.

It’s a delicious whisky, whether you’re BBQing, hosting friends for a night in, or toasting a special occasion.
