To celebrate the launch of Ben Affleck’s film Air on Prime Video, Sneakertopia is hosting a very speicla pop-up at Stackt Market in Toronto.
For just two days, May 12 and 13, explore the exhibit, discover art and iconic, limited edition sneakers, plus inspiring sneaker art in partnership with Makeway, a for women, by women sneaker boutique.
In addition to sneakers, an AR gallery, and art, sneaker fans will also be able to see Nike Air Presto Off White sneakers signed by Virgil Abloh, and take selfies at the athlete wall.
Inspired by the story of Doloris Jordan that’s depicted in the film, Prime Video and Sneakertopia worked with Makeway to create one-of-a-kind sneaker art.
Makeway founders Abby Albino and Shelby Weaver chatted with me about the project, their boutique and goals to build a community of women that are interested in sneaker culture, and the changes they’ve seen because of Makeway. Watch the video for a tour of the pop-up space and to hear about their work.
Air is streaming now on Prime Video.
