Ontario Parks offer some of the best outdoor experiences in the province, and I can’t get enough of them, especially in the summer. My wife and I have stayed at most of the parks in southern Ontario, and one favourite is Bon Echo Provincial Park.
Camping
If I had the chance, some day I would love to spend the summer at a cabin or in an RV somewhere. Every year I look forward to summer vacation, and nothing really beats getting out of the city for a few days to one of Ontario’s incredible forests, nestled along a lake somewhere.
There is nothing as good for the soul as travel, if you ask me, and this year I’m already excited about a few family trips we’ve been planning.
My family has been dreaming of an RV adventure for a few years, so when I had the chance to check out the Toronto RV show today, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to do a little research and find out a bit more about all of the vehicle options for getaways.
The trip was a long one for the four travellers, but it came with numerous rewards, including claiming the title of winning the Ultimate Canadian Dream Job. After travelling 17,000 kilometres for five months across the Trans Canada Trail, Woods Canada’s four explorers–Melba Seto & Adam Kochanek and Magee Walker & Cedric Blanchette–made it back to Toronto late last month after an incredible adventure.
The end of summer is, surprisingly, not that far away, and if you’re hoping to make it out for one last camping trip, there’s still time to get the best “must-have” gear to enjoy the great outdoors while it’s still warm out.
Spring has sprung and the grass is turning green across the country, so that must mean that it’s time to take your RV out of its winter storage and head for new adventures, or perhaps even try your hand at renting an RV and going on an adventure. Canada’s range of stunning national parks offers a number of must-see destinations for outdoors enthusiasts, so take a look at these 15 beautiful locations that span the country.
Yep, there’s an app for that. Parks Canada has just the thing for all of the Canadians who want to get out and explore the great outdoors, and some of the country’s beautiful national parks after they launched a Learn to Camp app and workshop program that will help newcomers and experts alike.
