The stars of Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom might not have been available to chat about their big film this Earth Day, but last week there was a great opportunity to talk about the toque macaque monkeys with Maria Franke, the Toronto Zoo‘s Curator of Mammals.
Disneynature
Disneynature’s Bears opens in theatres today, and follows the first year of a mother brown bear and her two cubs living within the beautiful vista that is Alaska. Featuring actor John C. Reilly as the narrator, who explains the lives of the animals, and fills in some of the imagined inner-thoughts of the beautiful creatures, the film is a postcard from the wild that offers a rare glimpse into the lives of brown bears.
Opening this week in a theatre near you: Disneynature’s latest animal documentary, African Cats, opens just in time for Earth Day; Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson star in the romantic drama, Water for Elephants; plus a look at Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family.
Coming out this week on DVD and Blu-ray, Russell Crowe plays a journalist looking for dangerous truths in State Of Play, Disneynature’s Earth takes us on a magnificent tour of our little blue planet, plus the third season of Heroes.
