Have you snuggled a puppy recently? The first five days of TIFF were hectic, fun, and challenging–which is exactly what you expect from TIFF–but on the bright side we also got to snuggle puppies thanks to the fine folks at Save Our Scruff, who brought their adorable dogs to #GATELounge17.

Happy Day 3, TIFFers! It’s one of my favorite times of year in Toronto, and the film festival is in full swing. For press and publicists, mind you, it’s more like week three, because of all of the pre-festival screenings, but it’s hard to complain about that when it makes the front-end of TIFF so much more productive. I rarely get time to screen much in the first few days of TIFF, but that’s usually because I’m interviewing, and there have been some good ones already.

Like the holiday season, the lead-up to the Toronto International Film Festival seems to start earlier and earlier if you’re a journalist in Toronto.

Tastemakers Lounge knows how to celebrate the Toronto International Film Festival in style, and that’s hardly surprising since they’ve been doing it right for 10 years now.

Movies and moviemaking are at the heart of the Toronto International Film Festival. You can’t have films though without stars and celebrities, and when they roll into town, that also means lots and lots of parties. To get those celebrities ready to party, there are a lot of gift lounges during the festival, but one of the longest-running, and most interesting, is the Tastemakers Lounge.

Keep Calm and Swag On! Celebrating eight years at the Toronto International Film Festival, Tastemakers Lounge delivered some swanky goodies to Canadian and international stars at a suite in the InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel on Front Street West as the 2012 festival kicked off on Thursday, September 6.

Taking a step away from the movies, and the red carpets, the stars of the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival are getting some extra pampering as the 8th Tastemakers Lounge puts swank brands and goodies in the hands of stars from Canada and around the world.

The first day of the TIFF is upon us, and frankly, I’m already tired. For the last week, I’ve already been screening films, interviewing, and trying to keep up with emails planning out what I’ll be doing for the next eleven days.
