Are you ready to fall in love with four new Android phones? Samsung announced the new Galaxy S20 series yesterday, and the phones offer big upgrades over previous generations, from speed to high resolution photos and 8K video. Plus, there’s a slick new flip phone on the way, the Galaxy Z Flip, and the new Galaxy Buds+.
The Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and S20 Ultra are gorgeous new additions to the Galaxy lineup, and the biggest news is that they will all support speeds up to 5G, with Bell Canada already announcing they will offer 5G on the phones when the service launches on their network.
Screen sizes for the new Galaxy S20 devices range from 6.2″ for the base S20, to 6.7″ for the S20+, and 6.9″ for the premium S20 Ultra.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip is a stylish flip phone with a folding 6.7″ glass screen, and because of the design, it can be partially folded so you can have hands-free video chats or take a few selfies.
Photography with the new Galaxy S20 phones has been upgraded in a big way. All three phones can capture video up to 8K, with both the S20 and S20+ offering 64MP resolution photos, 3x Hybrid Optical Zoom, and up to 30x Super Resolution Zoom.
And the S20 Ultra has an astonishing 108MP resolution photos, 10x Hybrid Optic Zoom, and up to 100x Super Resolution Zoom.
Plus all three phones use AI to offer smart capture photos and videos, improved low-light photography thanks to a larger sensor, and you can capture high resolution photo stills from your 8K videos.
The battery for each device is, respectively, 4000mAh, 4500mAh, and 5000mAh for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, offering all-day performance regardless of which phone you pick.
The S20 phones and the Galaxy Buds+ will be available in stores and online on March 6, 2020, and pre-orders are open now until March 5, 2020. If you pre-order before the March 5 cut-off, you’ll also receive a set of Galaxy Buds+ with any order of an S20 phone.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy S20 phones in Cosmic Gray and Cosmic Blue for the S20 and S20+, and Cosmic Black and Cosmic Gray for the S20 Ultra.
Pricing for the Galaxy S20 phones start at $1,319.99 for the Galaxy S20, $1,579.99 for the Galaxy S20+, and $1,849.99 for the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Flip is only available in limited quantities, and will be available on February 21, 2020 for $1,819.99.
Galaxy Buds+ come in black, blue and white, starting at $199.99. They feature a range of upgrades, including 2-way speakers, 3 mics for the best quality audio, and up to 11 hours of use out of the case, plus an additional 11 hours of use after charging from the case.
