The MuchMusic Video Awards will celebrate their 25th anniversary this year, taking over the corner of Queen and John in downtown Toronto on Sunday, June 15, and for the first time the event will be simulcast live on CTV and MuchMusic.

Featuring red carpet arrivals, musical performances, and stars from film and television, the MMVAs delivers the awards show to the street for all the fans to get up close and personal with their favorite celebrities.

Sheila Sullivan, the executive producer of this year’s MMVAs said, “I can’t wait for the fans to see what we have in store for them!”

“With the CTV simulcast we ensure millions of music fans across the country experience the energy of this amazing show,” said Phil King, CTV’s head of entertainment programming.

The MMVAs have boasted a number of big performances and appearances over the years, including Kanye West’s first performance of “Jesus Walks,” with John Legend playing piano, before he was even known, and Arcade Fire’s first television performance ever, which featured a marching band.

The MMVAs will air at 9:00 PM (ET), and 6:00 PM (PT) on Much, CTV and CTV GO. Details from the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards will be announced in the coming weeks on and on MuchMusic’s Twitter feed.
