The holidays are coming up fast, and I’m getting ready with one of my favorite things of the year: it’s time for The GATE’s holiday gift guides! I look forward to the holidays all year long, and I spend weeks getting ready for these reviews and giveaways, and this year is going to be the biggest yet.
I’m kicking off our annual holiday features today with the story that is the most important to me, especially considering the season and the fact that it’s an important time to lend a hand.
Every year since I started writing holiday gift guides, the first thing I wanted to talk about was supporting charities. The holidays are a wonderful time of year, and they can be a real break from the ordinary, but for me it’s important to start by supporting others, and our communities. This year I’m focusing on four charities that you can support by donating, and by gifting special items to your friends and family.
After the charity guide, I’m kicking off this year’s holiday giveaways with some of our biggest contests of the year, with two new giveaways every week until December 15th. Right now, I’m expecting at least ten major giveaways, so stay tuned. I’ll be announcing the full lineup of giveaways on Friday!
Then there are the gift guides and features. For 2017 I’m sharing guides that cover toys, gadgets, spirits and cocktails, luxury gifts, and things to improve your kitchen and your home.
