JFL42 is about to hit Toronto and the lineup is better than ever. With so many comedians about to hit the city we thought it would be fun to highlight a few notable headliners and check out what they had to say about life and their acts.
Get ready to laugh, Toronto. The sixth edition of JFL42–Toronto’s comedy festival–returns this fall from September 21 to 30, and this year’s headliners include Bill Burr, John Mulaney, Ali Wong, Tim and Eric, My Favorite Murder, and Tom Segura.
John Hodgman: the man, the myth, the legend. You may know him as Judge John Hodgman, as an author, a stand-up comedian, or perhaps as that guy who showed up a lot on The Daily Show. However you’ve connected with him in the past, his new show, Vacationland, is taking him on the road to talk about his home, Massachusetts, which he’s dubbed “the birthplace of rage”, not to mention his “exile” to Maine, and other sundry topics.
Bill Burr, Craig Ferguson, Trevor Noah, Hannibal Buress, John Mulaney, Chris Hardwick, and Miranda Sings will be coming to Toronto from September 24 to October 3 for the fourth annual JFL42 Festival, headlining the festival at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, and that’s just the tip of the comedic iceberg as the festival has over 100 shows scheduled this year.
The JFL42 Comedy Festival is returning for its second year in Toronto, and for 2013 it boasts several high profile comedians, including the entire cast of Family Guy, Aziz Ansari and Sarah Silverman. The festival will run for ten days from September 19 to 28.
The first-ever JFL42 festival hit the streets of Toronto from September 21 to 28, bringing together comedy, music, dance, art, and technology in a diverse mix of 42 shows around the city. For most festival-goers though, the focus was definitely on comedy, with shows by the likes of Louis CK, Amy Schumer, Patton Oswalt, and Todd Barry.
