Writer Diablo Cody, director Karyn Kusama, and star Megan Fox helped kick off the Midnight Madness programme at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday, September 10 with the gala red carpet for their horror film, Jennifer’s Body.
It’s almost a day later, and I’m just getting back online to talk about everything that’s been going on at the Toronto International Film Festival. The only other bad thing is that last night did not go as planned.
I arrived two hours before anyone was set to show up on the red carpet for the Midnight Madness screening of Jennifer’s Body and got a respectable spot in the line of photographers. That said, it was a tight fit, and people started piling in as arrival time neared.

Opening this week, Optimus Prime and his Autobots are back for more in the big-budget action adventure, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Also opening, two sisters face life bound together as one suffers from leukemia and the other is forced to donate a kidney to save her life in My Sister’s Keeper.
On June 24, the much-anticipated sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen arrives in theatres, and once again fans will have the chance to check out the massive action in IMAX theatres.
Michael Bay may never win an Oscar for the best movie of the year, but there’s never been a question about his ability to make any action movie, however crazy it might sound, into a knock-out blockbuster. With his latest film, the instant popcorn classic Transformers, he brings our favorite cartoon robots from the 80s back to life with all the cheesy lines and explosive action that you could ever want.
