As formulaic, marginally satisfying, and predictable as a bowl of vanilla ice cream with no toppings, the action comedy Stuber manages to deliver some decent chuckles and an appropriate level of shocks when called upon, but it’s also a film that should be far better than it is given the level of talent involved.

In director Michael Dowse’s latest film, The F Word, Daniel Radcliffe plays Wallace, a single guy who finds the right chemistry with Chantry, played by Zoe Kazan, only to realize that she has a very serious boyfriend.
Over the years I have attended many, many Toronto International Film Festival press conferences and the one for the unveiling of the Canadian content is always the second of three and generally the most low key of the bunch–that is until this 2013 edition held at the sumptuously cavernous Concert Hall at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Wednesday, August 7.
