Cast of The Help

The Help took home top honours at the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which celebrated 2011’s best performances from movies and on Sunday, January 29, with appearances by some of the biggest names in the industry.

Winning for Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture was The Help, while Modern Family won for Ensemble In A Comedy Series, and Boardwalk Empire was recognized for Ensemble In A Drama Series. Other winners included Christopher Plummer for Supporting Role in Beginners, with for The Artist and for The Help winning best Male and Female in Leading Roles, respectively.

The 2011 Life Achievement Award was presented by Dick Van Dyke to legendary actress , who received a standing-ovation from the group of stars.
