Holiday Gift Guide 2011: Charities

by W. Andrew Powell
Tree snow globe

Tree snow globeOnce a year we celebrate the holiday season by sharing with family and friends, but this time of year is also an opportunity to reach out and share with the rest of our community by giving to charities and organizations that always need support.

As we have in the past, to launch The GATE’s annual Holiday Gift Guide series, I wanted to take time to suggest a few charities that you can support this holiday season. Before you finish your shopping for family and friends, please take a moment and make a donation to one of these important organizations, or reach out and find an organization that supports a cause that means something for your family. Whether you can give $10, $50, or more, every donation makes a big difference.

Plus, check out part two of our Holiday Gift Guide: Gadgets.
