Star of Bombay Espresso Negroni

Happy National Coffee Day! Sure, you could celebrate with a cappuccino, but tonight you can elevate your coffee experience with a special cocktail that combines espresso and Star of Bombay, a new premium gin from the makers of Bombay Sapphire.

Naturally, a great cocktail requires the best ingredients, so I recommend premium espresso or coffee beans, Star of Bombay, plus Martini Rosso, and Campari.

Star of Bombay is made from 12 botanicals from around the world including dried bergamot, orange peel and ambrette seed, with a velvety and complex finish on the palate.

Star of Bombay Espresso Negroni

  • 1 part Star of Bombay
  • 1 part Martini Rosso
  • 1 part Campari
  • 1/2 part premium espresso
  • Orange Wheel and Coffee Bean
  • Chilled coupe or champagne glass
  • Ice cubes

Make a single shot of espresso and chill for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Once the espresso and glass are chilled, combine the Star of Bombay with Martini Rosso, Campari, espresso and large ice cubes in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass and stir until well mixed. Using a strainer, pour the cocktail into the chilled glass and garnish with the orange wheel and a single coffee bean.
