The lineup for the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival will be announced over the next few weeks, leading up to the launch on September 10, and behind those selections for this year’s 40th anniversary festival are the programmers. The 22 programmers are the people who make the real hard choices, picking the best films submitted to the festival.

Toronto International Film Festival going Primetime with television programme
This September, when the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival starts rolling, a new programme called Primetime is going to bring some of the best in international television to the big screen.
On Tuesday, July 22, the Toronto International Film Festival announced a few of the films that will debut this year, including 13 Galas and 46 Special Presentations.
Every summer there are two big press conferences held by Cameron Bailey, Steve Gravestock, Piers Handling and the rest of the TIFF team–the second is always reserved for Canada and all things Canadian being featured at the festival. This press conference was, as usual, held at the grand old Imperial Room at the Royal York Hotel, and the crowd was large and enthusiastic and a rough count estimated that there were no less than twenty TV cameras there covering the event.
