As my last post confirms, this is indeed my favorite time of year, hands down. That’s because I just got back from the Canadian press conference for the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival, which takes over the city from September 10 to 19. It’s like Christmas for film fanatics like myself, mainly because it gives me a chance to dine on my love of film for ten straight days, and meet a number of cool filmmakers who will be debuting their latest films.

Earlier this week the Toronto International Film Festival held their annual press conference to announce this year’s lineup of Canadian films. Among the titles announced, eight feature-length films will make their debut for the Canada First! showcase, including Martin Gero‘s comedy, Young People F*cking, and Ed Gass-Donnelly‘s This Beautiful City.
Currently, she stars on CBC’s Daring and Grace, which you can catch on YTV, but not too long ago she appeared in five episodes of Paradise Falls as Carla Collin’s lesbian daughter. Also in the past, she’s been on Traders, La Femme Nikita, Total Recall, and has had a lot of experience in the theatre, most recently as Olivia in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night as part of the Soulpepper Theatre Company’s Young Company.
