What a night! The 2021 Oscars are a wrap, and Nomadland was one of the big winners, walking away with three Academy Awards for Best Picture, Director for Chloé Zhao, and Best Actress for Frances McDormand.
I honestly can’t tell if I appreciate writer-director Sam Levinson’s Malcolm & Marie or I hate it with every fibre of my being. Even more honestly, I’m in no rush to revisit something this purposefully shrill, abrasive, and combative to find out.
No matter if you choose to look at it either as the closing of a major chapter in the Marvel Avengers storyline or the beginning of a new era, Spider-Man: Far From Home is a superbly entertaining and well done superhero movie by any metric.
