Neverending White Lights, DJ Champion to perform at 2007 Indies

The 2007 Indie Awards kick off Canadian Music Week on Wednesday, March 7th at The Docks and it’s looking like a tough pick between some of the top nominees. Between Alexisonfire, Neverending White Lights, Hostage Life, and dozens of other bands and artists, it’s a cornucopia of indie goodness that asks both the music industry and fans to pick their winners.

Celebrating the best in independent music, the event has turned into a fan favourite, probably at least partly thanks to the performances by top nominees, and the chance to kick off CMW’s raucous list of shows and parties. This year performers include Neverending White Lights, DJ Champion, Cadence Weapon, and Indies Hall of Fame inductees Rough Trade.

If you’re hoping to attend, doors open at 7:00 PM, with the show starting at 8:00 PM. Pick up a festival wristband for $35 to attend through Ticketbreak.com and Ticketmaster, or head over to www.cmw.net for individual tickets to the event. Just remember – the Docks are located at 11 Polson Street in Toronto – which is on the outer edge of public transit access, and busses don’t run late in the area. Catching a ride or calling a taxi are probably your best bets for attending.
