If you’re a fan of the Lord of the Rings films, and can’t wait for the upcoming Hobbit prequel, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, I’ve got a video for you that may make you wish you were flying to New Zealand right now.
For their “An Unexpected Briefing” video, Air New Zealand partnered with WETA Workshop, the special effects company who has worked on all of the films, to make a special Hobbit-themed air flight safety video that includes a plane full of Middle Earth denizens, including a Gandalf look-alike, Orcs, and even Gollum himself. The video even features a cameo by director and producer Sir Peter Jackson, and his “precious” ring.
Watch “An Unexpected Briefing” below, and then watch the behind the scenes making-of video on YouTube.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in theatres on December 14, 2012.
