There have been a lot of amazing things in the years I’ve been running The GATE, and some of my favourite moments were covering TV series, especially ones shot here in Toronto.
Anna Silk
The fifth and final season of Showcase’s hit series Lost Girl kicked off on Sunday with Bo, played by Anna Silk, trying to find out what happened to her dear friend Kenzi (Ksenia Solo), after the season four finale where Kenzi sacrificed herself to close a portal to the afterlife.
Lost Girl fans spoke up loud and clear once again this month to show how much they love the Canadian series. At the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards, at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, actress Zoie Palmer was awarded the Academy’s Fan Choice Award for Favourite Canadian Screen Star, and Lost Girl also won for Favourite Canadian Show, all thanks to the show’s fans.
Lost Girl star Anna Silk, who plays the succubus Bo on the hugely popular series, has had a big year since the last time The GATE was on set with her and the rest of the Lost Girl cast. While Lost Girl started filming the fourth season, Silk was busy as a new mom, and she had even discovered that she was pregnant at the end of the last season. Silk had given birth to a boy during the show’s hiatus, ahead of season four, and had him on set with her during filming for the new season.
A power outage might stop some people from getting on with their day, but not the team behind Lost Girl, and certainly not during the show’s upcoming fourth season.
This Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 PM (ET/PT) on Showcase, Lost Girl‘s third season draws to a close with the finale, “Those Who Wander”, which is bound to shake up fans with revelations and major consequences.
It’s time to be honest with you, Lost Girl fans, about the worst-kept secret on The GATE.
This is it! Lost Girl returns tonight on Showcase in Canada for its third season, and I’ve got the third and final part of The GATE’s on set interview with the cast ahead of the 8:00 PM (ET/PT) debut.
