This has been a fantastic year for movies, and while I’ve had a tough time narrowing down my top 10 list, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is right near the top.

Director Rian Johnson shows off his writing and directing skills with his latest film, but behind the scenes, one of the main people that helps make Johnson’s dreams a reality is long-time producer Ram Bergman.
This has been a great year at TIFF. The festival has been better than it was even in 2019, and between Saturday and Sunday I screened more of my top picks from the festival, I had a great interview, and I had the chance to see legends of film in person.

Rian Johnson just became one of my favourite directors, and all it took was one film. Johnson’s two previous films certainly impressed me, but Looper is a step forward for the writer and director. It’s a film that draws you in with the characters on an intimate level as hell starts to break loose, and despite the topic, it’s also a film that takes the story to heart.
