Heartland has an incredible cast, and that includes a lot of four-legged co-stars. For World Horse Day today, Amber Marshall and Michelle Morgan shared a moment about what horses mean to them, and the series.
Also known as Horse Protection Day, March 1 is recognized as the day to help spread the word about horses, protecting them, and some of the common issues for these four-legged stars, heroes, workers, and beautiful spirits.
As Marshall said, “It’s an amazing opportunity to be around horses every day; not only on set, filming, but also in my every day life.”
In the video she talks about learning to ride, and shares some time with two of her horses, including “Monty” from Heartland.
“There’s a reason that that relationship and horses have inspired so many stories,” Morgan said. She talked about working on the show for 14 seasons, and, “so many great stories and legends since the time of the ancient Greeks.”

Heartland airs on CBC Sundays at 7:00 PM, and on CBC Gem.
