Review: ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ starring Kenneth Branagh

If you love a good murder mystery, Agatha Christie is the master of the genre, and it's been a long time since we've seen one of her stories on the big screen. Director and actor Kenneth Branagh delivers some much-needed mystery with Murder on the Orient Express, while taking on the all important role of Hercule Poirot, and it's easy to love what he accomplished, even if the film is far from perfect because it is ultimately, at the very least, a fun ride.

Review: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ – Marvel’s most fun film to date

Thor has been one of my favorite Marvel characters on screen. He's brash and funny, and he's from a whole other realm than the mortals of Earth. His films, however, have never really lived up to the potential of Thor's thunderous charm, and the charms of star Chris Hemsworth, at least until Taika Waititi took the figurative helm in Thor: Ragnarok.

‘NeverKnock’: On set with director Sheldon Wilson & actor Dominique Provost-Chalkley

In 1986, three kids mysteriously died after knocking at the door of 59 Oakwood Lane. The case was never solved. The killer never locked away. The urban legend says that anyone who knocks on that door again will meet the same ghastly fate. On Halloween night, Grace (Wynonna Earp’s Dominique Provost-Chalkley) and her friends ignore that superstitious warning and instead, they knock knock, knock.

Charity Gift Guide 2017: SickKids, Habitat for Humanity & The Brain Project

The holidays are a wonderful time of year to celebrate family, friends, and all the good things in our lives, and they're also the perfect time to give back. We started our annual charity gift guides so we could try to inspire a range of ideas to give back, and offer a window into some of the opportunities available to give to the community. This year we're focusing our attention on three very important initiatives: SickKids, Habitat for Humanity, and The Brain Project.

Fall foliage, apples, and the great outdoors at the Westin Trillium House, Blue Mountain

Fall is my favorite season for travel. The leaves are changing, the weather is perfect for cozy sweaters, and there's nothing like a walk in the woods, a hike, or maybe a trip to an orchard to pick apples. My family celebrated fall foliage last week with our first trip to the Westin Trillium House, Blue Mountain near Collingwood, Ontario, and it was a fun escape with a view, fresh air, and a chance to explore Blue Mountain.
