Watch: Priyana’s “Fade Away” supporting Kids Help Phone

by W. Andrew Powell

Talk about a great cause. Fifteen-year-old singer Priyana has launched her first original EP, Out of Place, and she’s using the new release to help stand up for children and teens by supporting Kids Help Phone. Everyone who makes a donation through her fundraiser gets a digital download of her EP with the single “Fade Away”.

Priyana decided to support the cause after she realized how many stories there were about kids hurting themselves and committing suicide. So far she’s written over 20 songs on the topic, and she has no plans of stopping.

Since she started writing and performing these songs two years ago, Priyana has spoken and perfomed at events like WE Speaks at WE Well-being, High Notes Avante fundraiser, and the State of Mind Festival. This year she also sang “O’Canada” for 5,000 supporters at the Walk So Kids Can Talk in Toronto.

Priyana’s fundraiser for Kids Help Phone runs until October 10th, World Mental Health Day, and her goal is to raise $5,000 or more. To participate, visit priyana.ca/fundraiser and help make a difference for kids and teenagers. Everyone who donates $5 or more will receive Priyana’s 5-song EP, Out of Place.
