At the end of the second season, Orphan Black had opened up about a lot of the secrets that we had only glimpsed before, including the military origins of the clones, and the existence of male clones as well, but it was really just the start of opening the proverbial Pandora’s box of secrets. Season three looks like it’s set to finally take us deeper into the backstory, as the old status quo gets torn apart.

Canadian Screen Awards winners: Jordan Gavaris, Callum Keith Rennie, Graeme Manson & Rick Mercer
The Canadian Screen Awards have been celebrating film and television, and handing out honours for our fair country, for a few days now, and Wednesday, February 25 was a big night for Jordan Gavaris, Callum Keith Rennie, Graeme Manson, and Rick Mercer.
A lot of Orphan Black fans might be surprised by this, but star Jordan Gavaris, who plays Felix on the Space and BBC America series, doesn’t get recognized a lot on the street.
Press kits come and go on my desk–a few less than their used to be, before some companies started sending them electronically–and once in a while I get a real keeper; a collectible that I’m not likely to throw out or ignore. This week, the prize that arrived was the press kit for season two of Orphan Black, which airs on Space in Canada, and BBC America in the United States.
The first thing that is going to surprise you about actor Jordan Gavaris, who plays Felix in Space and BBC America’s dark science fiction series, Orphan Black, is the fact that he doesn’t actually have a British accent. He’s eloquent, charming, but he definitely has a regular, Canadian accent. On screen though, when Gavaris puts on the role of Felix opposite actress Tatiana Maslany, he is someone else entirely.
The series may not be on the air just yet, but people are already getting excited about Orphan Black, Space and BBC America’s upcoming series.
Vampires, werewolves, robots–and, yes, even a succubus–have all had their time on television in recent years, but clones? Not so much. That’s about to change though as Space and BBC America debut their original series, Orphan Black, and today they released their first full look at the new series.
